Win Avram, or else!

Avram Grant West Ham ultimatum

Today brought a crazy story regarding a Premier League manager. Though to be honest right now, for people in this profession, this does seem to be crazy season. Following the sackings of Chris Hughton and Sam Allardyce last week, West Ham United have issued their boss, Avram Grant, an ultimatum. Win one of your next three matches, or you're gone!

Since taking over from Gianfranco Zola for this campaign, Grant has lead his side to just two Premier League victorys, from 17 matches. This terrible start to the season, has the club rooted to the foot of the table.

Owners David Gold and David Sullivan, have been loyal to Grant. He was their number one pick as manager, and they got their man this past Summer. Usually by now, a club like West Ham would have a new man in charge, if they had started a season this badly. But time now appears to be running out for Avram Grant. And with Allardyce now on the market, a boss known to be a safe, solid pair of hands, there is a ready made replacement waiting.

Their next three fixtures, which will be crucial to his survival at the club's healm, are away against Blackburn and Fulham, and then at home against Everton. But should defeats come at Ewood Park and Craven Cottage, I have a feeling he won't be given a third life, and will be gone before 2011 comes around.

he definitely should be. I think Allardyce is the man for West Ham right now though, and Hughton should get a chance at Blackburn!

i feel it is completely unfair that the owners have made this common knowledge. I'm sure managers are given such ultimatums a lot. it is like any job, you have deadlines to hit. But coming out in the press lacks respect for Grant

Avram Gram stinks though. He has a decent team that he never does anything with. This guy should be on the hot seat.
