Which Player Does Ince Ditch?

Ince, former Man U man and newly crowned Blackburn boss
In an age where the all mighty pound rules football more than the players on the pitch, Blackburn could be set to be passed by, unless new manager Ince can make the right decisions. With David Bentley looking to join former manager Mark Hughes at Manchester City, and Santa Cruz garnering attention from Manchester United and Arsenal, Ince needs to make a pivotal decision.
That being, whom to sell.
David Bentley remains of irreplaceable importance to the system Mark Hughes ran, in terms of offense. But if Ince brings in a new philosophy this could be the perfect opportunity to sell David Bentley, seeing as the England International wants to leave anyways. The money they could get for him, could well put into place a very capable mid-fielder to fit into the style Ince wants to play. So Bentley in terms of being more expendable, is much more expendable at the moment than goal scoring machine Santa Cruz.
The man for Ince to keep, despite the amount they could receive for him, is Santa Cruz by far. As Bentley is looking tired of Blackburn life, but this being Santa Cruz’s entry into England’s Premier football competition, he has proven himself as invaluable with 23 goals in all competitions. Which in a way is unfortunate, as interest from Man U can sometimes mean a big transfer fee for the club willing to sell, and think of the great things Blackburn could do for their squad with that money.
But part of strengthening the team is knowing which players to keep.
Bentley just doesn’t have the high morale to keep playing in the white and blue, and the best thing for his career in the England International role as well, is probably to leave for a different club. Whereas Santa Cruz is too vital to Blackburn’s hopes of European glory for next year. So I say Ince needs to sell Bentley to City or the biggest available club, for the biggest transfer fee possible, and buy another striker or mid-fielder or both. Strengthen Blackburn’s attack and help your side rise to fifth and Europe next season.
Or with Liverpool’s penchant for choking in the premiership, perhaps you can steal a top four slot. Not to forget also that Arsenal is set to implode if they can’t keep the big stars in London. Sometimes you have to forget your stratagem of the past, and pay your players instead Arsene.
