Sunday sees three Premier League fixtures, with one certainly sticking out as a massive fixture. There is a possiblity that the day could end with another new leader of the Premiership, and with everything so close, plenty more could change by the end of the day too.
Tottenham v Chelsea is the big match of the day, kicking off at 4pm. The champion's form has dipped so badly of late, that defeat today could drop them to 4th, and only one point above Spurs. After a sloppy start to the season, Tottenham are starting to fight back up the league, and victory against Chelsea today, would certainly make them worthy of their tags, as dark horses for the title. This a huge game, because both teams need to win, for very different reasons. One, to prove they can retain their title. The other, to prove they could be contenders.
This season's surprise package so far, Bolton Wanderers, host Blackburn Rovers at the Reebok. Blackburn are perennial bad travellers, so this a big chance for Owen Coyle's men, to consolidate 6th position. A win for Rovers however, would see them leap frog Bolton, and possibly into 6th themselves, depending on other results.
Finally on Sunday, struggling Wolves host Birmingham City. Mick McCarthey's team look resigned to relegation right now, and need to start winning these games to have any hope for survival. Birmingham are just three points outside the drop zone, and could do with another big three points, to lift them a bit nearer safety. The Midlands side could even end the weekend in the top half of the table.
But with the games at Molineux and the Reebok Stadium as warm ups, the game at White Hart Lane, isn't to missed on this Super Sunday.
