Scolari Runs After Kaka

Scolari is already set to make some major changes to the Chelsea organization. His first big transfer target will be fellow Brazilian Kaka, last years FIFA World Footballer of the Year. Chelsea are reportedly offering up £60million for Kaka, as a transfer fee to his current club AC Milan. Although, like I always say when Chelsea are linked to a big player, I hope Kaka thinks about this decision a lot, before suggesting he would like to move to London. Chelsea still are famous for wasting talent, and putting players in positions on the pitch where they just aren’t comfortable playing. Unless Scolari can fend off Abramovich’s influence and change those things, for the benefit of his career, Kaka should stay put in Italy.
Liverpool had their £15million bid turned down by Aston Villa for skipper Barry. Martin O’Neill has said that it will take much more than £15milllion for Villa to sell their star mid-fielder. Once again, I know he’s already put in ten years, but I believe Barry should stay with the club. He’ll make a bigger name for himself with the England national squad, if he can drive Villa to at least the fifth spot in the league. Instead of piggy backing on a top flight club’s success to play in Europe, Barry will show much more growth if he carries a “lower” club into European contention.
Also today in transfer rumor news, Real Madrid have made another offer towards Cristiano Ronaldo, this time offering up £9.5million a year to the Portuguese International. I guess with FIFA basically not taking any action, if this offer is true, Manchester United should be furious. You can’t offer a player a salary without going through his current club first, and it’s disgusting that FIFA would allow this. But the ‘world governing body” seems to have a lot of hatred for all things English. So if it’s an English team suffering foul play, who cares I guess.
