Saturday's Premier League Preview

November 5th 2010 19:43
Javier Hernandez

Tomorrow brings seven games from the English Premier League, with three more matches to come on Sunday. With only two of the top seven in action, last week's opponents Manchester United and Tottenham, will be desperate to make an impact on the league table come Saturday evening.

Spurs travel to the Reebok Stadium to take on Bolton in the lunch time kick off. With the league so close, a win would lift the Lancashire club above Tottenham, and Owen Coyle's men will be boosted by the fact they haven't lost this fixture since 1996. Harry Redknapp's men continue to be inconsistent this season. Brilliantly beat the European Champions Inter Milan in midweek after defeat at Old Trafford last weekend. Though this is a tricky game, it is one of those you have to win, to get in the top 4 this season. Man Utd face Wolves at Old Trafford, and will be aiming to avoid the same fate suffered by their City rivals last weekend. A win would lift Wolves out of the relegation zone for the first time since early september, but you'd have to bank on a home win.

Ewood Park will play host to a relegation battle, as 18th placed Blackburn take on 17th Wigan. Rovers are surely to good too go down, and manager Sam Allardyce will hope to see a turn in fortunes begin tomorrow. Birmingham will look to move further away from the drop zone, as they welcome (or banish as the case may be) former owners Gold and Sullivan's, West Ham side to St Andrews. Blackpool and Everton will both be aiming for a win which could take them into the top 6, and Sunderland and Stoke have a chance of making the top half. The final game of tomorrow sees Fulham, play hosts to Aston Villa. Both teams have made up and down starts to the campaign, and maybe this fixture will help give a clearer picture, where both will be come next may.
