Queiroz To Leave Fergie And United Behind?

Manchester United’s second in command Carlos Quieroz is likely to leave the club, as Portugal have made him an official offer to become manager of the national team. Meaning Ferguson’s reported plans of having Quieroz take his place in United’s future, may be no longer an option. Which in my mind could gut the squad when the Scot retires.
Manchester United has been playing the same sort of system for twenty years now, throwing in a new manager with too many different ideas could gut the squad. Which is why rising someone through the ranks under Ferguson would have been a great choice, but if Quieroz leaves that’s no longer an option.
Then what if the worst happens, it’s bad enough when you have players who’ve been in the same system most of their careers, and are used to playing with each other one way. Then someone comes in and switches up the starting team and formations, it will be like when Rafa Benitez kept switching around Liverpool last season and caused the players to lose games because they weren’t allowed to adapt to a system. The same thing will happen if United get a manager that wants to be too different from Ferguson, or worse, wants to show up Ferguson and try for more title success.

This is a bigger story than anyone is making it out to be, as Quieroz leaving would mark a huge point of decision making for the Glazer family. In such a situation United should hope they can throw money at Roy Keane or Mark Hughes to lure them back to Manchester. Because if Quieroz leaves, that’s your only real sound option.
But United should be fine, as long as a new manager understands the key to success, start Wayne Rooney, Michael Carrick, Vidic, Rio Ferdinand, Patrice Evra, buy a new right back, and put in Darren Fletcher more, the Scot has a way of getting creative. Not to mention Fletcher’s versatility for defense or offense. Which is why Hargreaves should start more as well.
On a side note, Abramovich looks to be forcing Russians on Chelsea again.

Gunnar was great because United always had a chance for a late comeback every time he was on the pitch. I'd love to see if he could instill that sort of understanding of the game as a manager.
But for United's success, i think the first choice is buying Roy Keane off Sunderland when Fergie retires.
