Goalkeeper - Paul Robinson (Blackburn)
Comfortable win for Rovers, but could have been much more difficult had their English shot stopper not been in good form
Defence - Leighton Baines (Everton)
Continues to improve and impress at full back for the Toffees. Excellent going forward, gained Everton their equaliser
Defence - Chris Samba (Blackburn)
Solid as ever for Rovers, force in the opponent's box too
Defence - Phil Jagielka (Everton)
Been arguably the best English defender so far this season, another good performance
Midfield - Samir Nasri (Arsenal)
Star man of the weekend. Fantastic performance put Arsenal top, took his two goals superbly well
Midfield - Jordan Henderson (Sunderland)
Young Englishmen will be delighted to have bagged his first goal in a year, made the difference for Sunderland against West Ham
Midfield - Chris Brunt (West Brom)
His left foot has got to be one of the best in the league, his constant supply of top drawer deliveries had Newcastle in trouble all afternoon
Midfield - Tom Cleverley (Wigan)
On-loan from Manchester United, improving all the time, bagged his first Premier League goal at weekend
Midfield - Cheick Tiote (Newcastle)
Only Magpies player to turn up, looked as solid as ever
Forward - Carlos Tevez (Man City)
