Tomorrow sees the return of the English Premier League, after League Cup action in midweek. The most mouth watering contest of the day, is without doubt at Eastlands, as Manchester City face Chelsea in the early kick off. Roberto Mancini and Carlo Ancelotti, will renew their rivalry, or friendship as it seems, if you believe their comments in the media today. They were AC and Inter Milan managers for years, but seem to have utmost respect for each other. I expect it to be a close contest, as the unstoppable Chelsea, face their toughest test yet this season. Man City will be desperate to fire a title warning, and build on their two wins over the Champions last season. I can't call the weekend's first game, and would have to plumit for a draw.
Arsenal will expect a comfortable afternoon at home against West Brom, but can't afford any slip ups. Liverpool will be desperate to get over their midweek cup exit, by beating Sunderland at Anfield, and Tottenham travel to West Ham hoping to build on last weekend's victory over Wolves. Everton have a crucial game at Fulham, as the Merseysiders will be hoping to kick start their season with a win. Fulham have started well under Mark Hughes however, and I feel they could pile more misery on David Moyes and his side.
Blackpool host Blackburn, as Big Sam will want to see Rovers take their impressive home form away with them, and the seasiders will see this as a game they can get something out of. To finish off tomorrow's schedule, Birmingham take on Wigan. This is another evenly matched game, and could well bring another draw. With the league table so close at the moment, a win could see either team move into the top 8, where as defeats could see either in the relegation zone. Tomorrow definitely features plenty of matches, where both teams will expect something from it, so could make for an entertaining day of football. My predictions are;
Manchester City 1-1 Chelsea
Arsenal 3-0 West Brom
Birmingham 2-1 Wigan
Blackpool 0-0 Blackburn
Fulham 2-0 Everton
Liverpool 3-1 Sunderland
West Ham 1-1 Tottenham
