MUFC Champions Of The Champions League!!!

Well, John Terry did silence Wayne Rooney, just as I predicted…and playing Essien at right-back was a huge mistake, as I predicted, because:
Manchester United in an absolutely thrilling performance, have captured the 07/08 UEFA Champions League crown. Yes, there were some bad refereeing decisions against both sides, yes the quality of the pitch really left something to be desired. But the nail-biting moments that occurred for ninety minutes of regular time, thirty minutes of extra time, and fourteen penalty kicks, were absolutely brilliant.
Manchester United Goalkeeper Edwin Van Der Sar ended up the hero, missing every chance to save a penalty until Chelsea’s seventh attempt. Van Der Sar guessed correctly, and the enormous Dutchman smiled in mid-air all the way to blocking Anelka’s shot.
Although after having watched the game, I do feel bad for many Chelsea players, such as captain John Terry, who was so broken up after having lost he was in tears. I can’t imagine how awful it would feel to work your whole career for that moment, and Terry even had the game on his boot on the fifth penalty if he could’ve kept the ball on target, today would be a very different story.
Congratulations Manchester United, once again proving you can grind out a victory without controlling the game or even converting on most of your scoring attempts. I would hope after his brilliant performance, Ferguson will extend Carlos Tevez’s contract, as he’s proven himself a very valuable asset to the franchise at the moment. Hopefully they can also hold on to Cristiano Ronaldo, at least a bit longer, with the Portuguese international having finally broken his horrible performance record playing against Chelsea, going so far as to capture a goal. All the Real Madrid public talk makes me sick, hopefully playing in and winning a Champions League final will teach him a thing or two about loyalty to a club.
Once again congratulations Van Der Sar, claiming the victory, after having lost his last attempt at Champions League glory on penalties.
