Man City snap up Assulin

December 14th 2010 16:50
Gai Assulin

A couple of months ago, I did a post about Israeli youngster Gai Assulin. He was released by Barcelona back in July, and incredibly, still hadn't found a club. However today brought the news, that he finally has a club. Not surprisingly, mega rich Manchester City are the ones who have snapped up the wonderkid.

He has passed a medical, and will be available to play immediately in the Premier League. The registration window doesn't open until January, but as he is under 21, does not have to be registered. Given his period out of the game, it remains to be seen how long it will be until he is match fit. Having seen him in action for Barca, I'm sure this is a great piece of business for City.

The club aren't reknown for bargain buys, but should Gai Assulin reach his full potential, this would be a great signing.

Assulin is talented, but this is a very stupid move. Why are City signing so many players? Have they heard of team chemistry? These moves that are being made with blatant disregard for teamwork are catching up to this club.

Will be interesting to see how he gets on. Like Joe said, the numbers at the club just keep on growing, must be very hard to keep everyone happy!

I expect another huge transfer window from City. Expect plenty to leave, and probably a few big money, over priced players to arrive again!
