Given that I'm not exactly an expert when it comes to golf, I'll leave a proper analysis of the final day of Ryder Cup action to someone else. But seen as there are so many American bloggers I know here on Orble, and I'm sure a lot of readers, I couldn't resist the opportunity of a self indulgent moment to gloat, at Europe's nervous 14 1/2 to 13 1/2 victory.
Graeme McDowell brilliantly held his nerve in the final match to win it for Europe, after a fantastic fight back from USA on Monday. Ross Fisher in particular deserves great credit, for keeping the Ryder Cup alive with four birdies on the last four wholes to halve his singles with Molinari. But Europe eventually won through, retaining the trophy they lost in 2008. The action was deserved entertainment, and delight, for a patient Celtic Manor crowd, many of whom skipped work to see the action!

I think it was Rickie Fowler who had the great comeback against Molinari to even give the Americans a chance.
