Capello Passes Judgment

Fabio Capello has told Frank Lampard that he just might not cut it, as far as starting for England goes. Also suggesting that Lampard takes the opportunity to play in Italy for Inter Milan, because it would help him learn from a different playing style, therefore helping him grow as a player. But I don’t think Lampard growing is necessarily the solution.
Start Hargreaves in his place. Gerrard, Hargreaves in the middle are the winning combo, and the one that took England to the quarterfinals of World Cup ‘06. Hargreaves needs to play in Lampard’s place, because Lampard is too attacking minded, and that’s what you already have Steven Gerrard for. Hargreaves is much better counter balance, because he can clean up the defensive play, and switch over to attacking like no-one else currently for England can do.
Lampard is a brilliant player in his own right, but Gerrard is better, and you only need one attacker in the center of mid-field. The winning combo has already been proven as Gerrard, Hargreaves with Beckham on the right. I understand new managers try out different strategies, and it’s all good, as long as you don’t make the Steve McClaren mistake and fiddle around with things that aren’t broken.
